Liberté: A Call to Spy

IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7698468/

Synopsis: Churchill hastily creates Special Operations Executive (“SOE”), a spy organization to disrupt the Nazi war machine. Its mission in France: place spies everywhere to conduct sabotage and subversion. But without any experienced spies for this new type of warfare, SOE must resort to recruiting women. Its “spymistress,” Vera Atkins (played by Stana Katic), recruits two unusual candidates: Virginia Hall (played by Sarah Megan Thomas), an ambitious American with a wooden leg, and Noor Inayat Khan, a Muslim pacifist who must embrace an intelligence operation involving violence (played by Radhika Apte). Together, these women form a sisterhood while entangled in dangerous missions to build a new spy network and help stop Hitler. Inspired by true stories.

“A remarkable film. A rare beast. That evocative 1940s wartime setting is beautifully shot, the narrative is tight and tense, the emphasis on the women’s roles is handled with power and also a huge sense of respect.” - LiveForFilm.com
